Tempsens infrared radiant heater are high performance electric heaters which use infrared radiation rather than conventional heating to achieve heating system solutions where it is not practical to use any other forms of heating. With their heavy-duty industrial build and ability to deliver heating power levels of up to 10 kW with a watt density of 1-10 W/cm2, industrial radiant heaters can operate at temperatures of up to 600°C
These infrared radiant heater feature high emissivity coating on the heating elements as well as stainless steel construction for their mounting plates making them suitable for large exposed production areas that require consistent and controllable heating output. Termopary and thermostats are used to control the temperature of these heaters, and all parameters including power ratings, voltages, resistances, lengths and diameters can be fully customized to accommodate your specific process requirements.

Industrial Applications of Infrared Radiant Heaters
- Heating of float glass on continuous production lines
- Preheating of movable molds prior to casting processes
- Conveyorized and batch type oven drying and curing
- Curing and surface treatment within paint spray booths
- Resin softening under medium intensity infrared heat
- Infrared heat for high intensity thermal requirements (in heavy industrial applications)
- Drying processes for coatings, paints, and adhesives.
Construction of Infrared Radiant Heaters
- Heating element comes with a coating of high emissivity so maximum amount of radiation can be produced
- Mounting the heating element securely is achieved through an assembled stainless steel plate using threaded studs
- Thermal protection of the heating element and mounting plate is provided through insulation fiber pad located in between
- Ceramic insulation beads located between the heating element and the mounting plate provide electrical isolation
- Electrical leads will be connected securely and easily via a terminal strip
- Different lengths and sizes will be available to meet specific installation requirements
Advantages of Infrared Radiant Heaters
- Transfer of direct radiation heat (no energy lost due to air convection)
- Faster heating responsiveness would reduce the length of an industrial process cycle
- Variety of watt density (1-10 Watts/cm) is appropriate for many different industrial processes
- Suitable for use in heating objects that are moving (e.g. float glass and moulding)
- Highly customizable in power rating, voltage, resistance, length, and overall dimensions
- Provides effective operation within a large open exposed space in an industrial setting
- Implements thermocouples and thermostats for precise temperature control.

Industrial radiant heaters from Tempsens Polska are built to run for long periods of time. They have been designed using thermocouples and thermostats, which allow them to maintain a safe and steady temperature when used for long duration or overnight.
Infrared radiant heater is dissimilar to convection (fan) heating systems in that it does not heat the surrounding air, making them much more efficient. High intensity infrared heaters systems will perform very well in large, open and/or ventilated industrial environments, where convection systems will lose a lot of heat.
