Flexible Heaters - Silicon Rubber Heaters
Introducción
Flexible silicone rubber heaters are a game changer in thermal management technology; they provide engineers with flexibility in heating applications where conventional heaters can’t withstand the working conditions. Designed through complex molding processes, flexible heaters place etched-foil or wire wound material between several layers of high-temperature silicone rubber elastomer, creating heating solutions that fit uneven surfaces and provide even heat across complex geometries.
Flexible silicone heaters operate effectively in temperatures ranging from -60°C to +200°C (with continuous duty up to 230°C for special grades) and are ideal for thermal control with requirements for accuracy, environmental resistance, and design flexibility. Their moisture-sealed construction provides dielectric strength above 1500V and enables inherent chemical resistance and is relied upon across a range of industries from manufacturing medical devices to protecting aerospace components. Whether you are preventing freeze damage in fluid circuits, maintaining viscosity in a pass of industrial processing, or providing stable temperature profiles to analytical instrumentation, Tempsens flexible heaters are able to provide energy-saving solutions where conventional rigid heaters cannot.
About Flexible Heaters - Silicon Rubber Heaters
About Flexible Silicone Rubber Heaters
Tempsens make flexible silicone rubber heaters utilize the distinct properties of silicone elastomers—thermal stability, chemical inertness, and mechanical pliability—to develop heating elements that are capable of adapting to difficult installation conditions. The heating element is made from precision-etched designs of resistance wire sandwiched between two calendars of silicone rubber and vulcanization bonding, creating a hermetically sealed unit that is not only resistant to moisture but offers operating flexibility from subzero conditions to high temperature operation.
Applications of Flexible Silicone Rubber Heater
Automotor: Battery temperature regulation in electric vehicles to uphold lithium-ion cell optimum operation temperatures; frozen protection of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) in SCR Systems; and the heating of hydraulic reservoirs for cold-start performance.
Médico: Diagnostics equipment temperature stabilization for precision in analytical instruments; patient warming systems for surgical applications; and heating of fluid line to prevent crystallization for IV therapy.
Electrónica: Thermal conditioning of optical components to prevent condensation; battery conditioning for lithium-ion battery cells in portable electronic devices; and heating the beds of 3-D printers for adhesion and to prevent warping in additive manufacturing.

Advantages of Flexible Silicone Rubber Heaters
- Ability to Conform to Unique Shapes: These heaters can shape onto curved, cylindrical or irregular surfaces – ideal for tanks, pipes and other elements where rigid heaters will create air gaps that disrupt efficient transfer of heat.
- Distribución uniforme del calor: The heaters provide uniform watt density in the heated area, erasing thermal gradients that can impact process quality in applications with precision requirements.
- Moisture and Environment Protection: Vulcanized silicone encapsulation provides sealing from moisture, humidity, and chemical intrusion which is essential in outdoor installations and washdown apps.
- Mechanical Durability: The heater is tolerant to vibration, mechanical shock and thermal cycling applications.
- Rapid Thermal Response: Low thermal mass offers faster heat-up and timing cycle times; energy savings potential could occur in thermal cycling applications.
