In Modern days’glass formulations are often complex and varied, combining powders with raw materials to achieve very specific glass properties. Advanced processing technology and chemistry allow shaping the mechanical, chemical, optical and electronic characteristics of glass precisely to the intended function. Specialty glass formulations are mainly used today for a variety ofpurposes. Producing these specialty glasses requires a furnace with accurate temperature capability above 1500°C. We build our BLF furnaces for batch production, meaning raw materials and powders are melted in a “pot” and then discharged into a quenching solution. The lining of the furnace for these applications needs to be chosen very carefully since resistance to chemical attack is important.
Tempsens make BLF furnace able to do very precise firing of batch spacialty glass up to 1800°C, have heating elements surrounding the load on all sides and able to provides temperature uniformity better than ±5°C. These high temperature furnaces are designed to give maximum temperature uniformity and provides easier loading and unloading. We also offer Custom designed lining and insulation systems to meet various customer needs.
BOTTOM LOADING FURNACE
BLF is the best option when need Uniform Heat distribution. In these types of furnace material loading is done from the bottom side it means the door is fitted at the bottom, which is lifted or lowered with a smooth motor drive mechanism. An electrically operated elevator hearth lifts the load into the heated zone. The Manual or Automated motor-driven lifting table significantly simplifies the charging of the high-temperature furnaces.
The heating all around the furnace chamber provides for an excellent temperature uniformity.
