Introduction
A non-invasive clamp sensor is designed to measure process media temperature without pipe penetration which is a critical advantage across the demanding industrial environments of the UAE and wider Gulf region. This helps in resolving the major issues caused by the conventional sensors like thermocouples and RTDs with thermowell leading to high installation time, contamination, and leakage due to drilling. Unlike surface-mounted sensors which only measure the pipe surface temperature suffering poor from accuracy due to heat loss, noninvasive sensors provide clamp-on technology to measure internal pipe temperature without drilling or welding the pipe. Manufactured by Tempsens, it consists of a 4 LCD display with an integrated keypad delivering reliable process integrity and safety even in the extreme ambient conditions common across GCC industrial sites.
