ABOUT

Temperature Gauges for UAE & GCC Industrial Applications

Introduction

Temperature gauges provide essential real-time measurement capabilities for industrial process control throughout UAE and GCC manufacturing facilities, delivering mechanical application reliability and freedom from power infrastructure. Tempsens is a leading temperature gauge supplier in uae, we design precision-grade bimetallic thermometers and gas/liquid expansion thermometers that are uniquely configured for the challenging operating environments experienced throughout petrochemical facilities, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and heavy manufacturing in the Emirates and the Gulf region. These temperature gauges enclose and comply with the rigors of EN13190, IS13211, and ASME B40.3 International standards ensuring, Class 1 accuracy, across all measurement ranges of -40°C to 600°C. Offered in 63mm, 100mm, and 150mm dial configurations with SS304 enclosures and SS316 wetted parts, our temperature gauge portfolio is composed entirely of stainless steel, IP65/IP68 ingress protection is engineered specifically for challenging Gulf applications of extreme ambient temperatures, corrosive atmosphere, sanitary processes, and harsh operating environment durability and measurement reliability.

Working Principle of Temperature Gauge

The temperature gauge's working principle operates on mechanical thermal expansion fundamentals and functions without needing to monitor an external electrical power source; this is a significant advantage for remote and Gulf installations. Bimetallic thermometer design uses two different metal strips that are metallurgically bonded together, with different thermal expansion coefficents, configured in a helical coil configuration. The temperature variations will induce proportional differentials in the expansion of both strips that are bonded together, which ultimately causes mechanically controlled helical coil deflection. This deflection mechanically drives a calibrated pointer across a graduated dial face with the minimal amount of hysteresis.

Another variation of a gas expansion thermometer function thermally through pressure variation in gas or a sealed inert gas bulb where the bulb is connected to the a helical Bourdon tube by capillary tubing. Temperature increases will elevate the pressure of the gas, in accordance with Gay-Lussac's Law of Pressure, which[ indirectly] causes Bourdon Tube to deform just like the bimetallic thermometer. Then, with the precision gearing systems, the deformation of the Bourdon tube is transferred into pointer displacement. SS316 capillary tubing allows the bulb to be remote sensing, extending up to 20 meters from the bulb to the indicator, and due to the fastening tubing, without affecting the accuracy of the temperature scales, the sensitive for difficult access installations throughout Gulf facilities.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to frequently asked questions related to Temperature Gauge.

Temperature gauges are read in Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F) or in Kelvin (K) - in some cases there are °C/°F combined scales, displayed as single dial options.

Selection will vary with process temperature range, ambient conditions, stem immersion depth, mounting orientation, connection configuration, accuracy class selected and environmental protection specification for Gulf conditions.

Bimetallic thermometers typically measure from -40°C to 400°C, gas/liquid expansion measures typically from -40°C to 600°C there is also reversible full scale from -40°C to +60°C with Class 1 accuracy per EN13190 standards.

Regularly visually examine the dial is clear, pointer is moving, stem is undamaged, connection is tight, zero point is accurate, and for damped gauged glycerine fill level is correct periodically.
