ABOUT
Box / Chamber Furnace - BF/CF
Introduction
The box furnace is a versatile, box sized industrial furnace, an essential thermal processing equipment for heat treatment applications across the UAE and Gulf region. Tempsens box type furnace consists of heating elements located at the sides of the heating chamber which ensures a better thermal uniformity suited to the demanding industrial environments of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Our box furnace is manufactured according to the needs of modern industries using refractory bricks or lightweight ceramic fiber board insulation which are capable of reaching temperatures from 900°C to 1800°C. The furnace control box manages PID controller and data logging software which is essential for regulating temperature throughout the heating cycle which is ideal for sintering high-temperature materials, glass melting, ceramic testing, fusion processes, and powder metallurgy applications.

About Box / Chamber Furnace - BF/CF
Furnace Construction & Heating Chamber Design
The chamber furnace features a heavy insulated rectangular chamber with a front opening door which can be hinge type or vertical lift depending on the chamber size. Tempsens box type furnace is equipped with heating elements placed along the sides of the heating chamber which are manufactured using refractory bricks based construction or lightweight ceramic fiber board insulation, where both are engineered for durability in high-temperature Gulf industrial settings.
Key Features of Box Chamber
- Provides accurate temperature control and consistent heating of materials within the furnace chamber.
- Able to operate at a maximum temperature range of 900 degrees Celsius to 1800 degrees Celsius using modern heating technologies.
- Door open on the side protects the user from hot surfaces to provide more safety in the workplace.
- The door limit switch will automatically shut off the heating element when the door is opened for safe use.
- The furnace control box has a microprocessor-controlled PID with the built-in safety feature that will shut off heating elements when the max temperature is reached.
- Tempsens uses NABL certified
thermocouples
thermocouples for accurate temperature measuring & control. - Options include use of fire brick or light weight ceramic fibre board insulation.
- In-house customization to meet the specific requirements of each project offered throughout the Gulf.
Applications of Box Chamber in UAE & Gulf Industries
- The two treatments used for metal components in oil, gas and petrochemical industries, which make up a large part of the Gulf, are case hardening and ferritic nitrocarburizing.
- This is due to the heating of dies and molds for different types of manufacturing processes.
- High-temperature materials can be subjected to solution annealing and solutionizing processes.
- The debinding and dewaxing processes involved in powder metallurgy.
- Heat treatment following welding performed on welded assemblies to create lower residual stress and greater strength in the weld joint.
- When operating with ceramic or metal powders they will also be thermally treated using normalizing, pre-sintering and sintering processes.</ li>
- Stress relieving and wire annealing performed on metals so that the metals possess better mechanical properties after thermal treatment.
- Calcination and carbonization performed on many different industrial materials.
