ABOUT
Introduction
Hook up or lead wires are single conductor insulated wire used in industrial equipment for internal wiring, control panels, and instrumentation control signals. Tempsens makes a full range of lead wire product types from many different types of insulation materials such as PVC, LSZH Polymer, PTFE, FEP, ETFE, and HFFR Polymer. The lead wires are manufactured from either tinned copper or electrolytically produced bare copper wire in a various construction types; solid, multiple strand and flexible, with conductor sizes ranging from 32 AWG to 6 AWG, with the copper being tinned or bare wire. We manufacture our lead wire materials to meet the requirements of the relevant international standards; IEC 60811-1-2, IEC 60811-2-1 and IEC 60811-4-1, ensuring consistent performance across all laboratory, domestic appliance, chemical plant, and electrical panel applications in the Gulf Region.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to frequently asked questions related to Lead Wires/Hookup Wires.
In the United Arab Emirates, lead and hookup wire types are used in the oil and gas industry, petrochemical plants, power generation facilities, manufacturing, HVAC systems, as well as industrial automation. They are necessary to connect instruments to control panels and electrical devices used in extreme Gulf climate conditions.
Yes, all Tempsens linear heat detecting cables are only manufactured for industries with hot working atmospheres due to their heatistor rating of 105 C (up to that temperature). Therefore they can be utilized in the diverse climates (extreme ambient) of country; particularly in various industrial plants (ie, refineries/storage tanks).
Tempsens linear heat detection (LHD) cables exceed all applicable International Fire Safety and electrical codes from the Gulf region. All of our products have been thoroughly tested for compliance with all regional referring to 1.1 kV insulating performance.
To select the best type of wire for your specific application in the UAE, the following information will assist in determining which would be the best options based on temperature extremes, run lengths of the required wire (to be used for detection), whether the installation will be outside or inside and whether or not there is any hazardous material to be detected by the product being installed. It's important to contact the Temperatures Sens technical support team about any customized options that may suit your particular needs.
Through authorized distributors and service partners across the U.A.E. at Tempsens we provide full technical and service support to our customers. We have all replacement parts, spare cables, and the ability to assist technically, as needed to minimize down-time and ensure reliable operation of their systems.
