About Heat Resistance Cables

Fluoropolymer and ceramic fibre-based heat-resistant cables are designed for high-performance energy transmission under extreme heat continuously. Heat Resistant Power Cable design incorporates PTFE, FEP, PFA, silicone rubber, glass fibre and ceramic insulation with operating voltage ratings up to 1.1 kV, providing the very high thermal capability and chemical stability, fireproofing capability of Industrial heating systems, industrial heating appliances and other devices subject to high-temperature operation across the UAE and Gulf region.

Applications Of Heat-Resistant Cable in UAE & Gulf Industries

Features/ Specifications Of Heat-resistant Cable

Temperature Range: Alumina fiber insulation allows for sustained use from -73°C to 1200°C.
Conductor Options: Conductor options include annealed bare copper (ABC), nickel plated copper (NPC), pure nickel, and a NPC 27% alloy, and are offered in sizes ranging from AWG 12 to AWG 34.
1) Advanced Insulation Systems:

2) Voltage Rating: These products have a Voltage rating of up to 1.1 kV, and they also provide an excellent Dielectric strength and low Leakage Current.

3) Heat Barrier Protection: Heat barrier protection is provided by wrapping the wires with Polyimide tape and using Glass Mica tape as a fire barrier to provide increased Thermal Insulation and flame resistance.

4) Mechanical Strength: Mechanical strength is achieved by constructing Multistrand Conductor, as referenced in IS 8130/IEC 60228, and the use of Stainless Steel Wire braiding armor as Abrasion resistance.

5) Chemical Resistance: Chemical resistance to Mineral Oils, Acids, Alkaline Solutions, and Industrial Solvents is Superior.

6) Flame Retardant: Flame Retardant properties allow for self-extinguishing ability with low smoke emissions and halogen-free options.

7) Screening Options: Screening Options include Overall Mesh Braided with either Tinned Copper or Stainless Steel for protection from Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).

8) Compliance Standards: Manufactured in accordance with specifications of JSS 51038, JSS 51037, IS 8130, IS 9968 and testing is performed by a comprehensive in-house testing laboratory.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to frequently asked questions related to Heat Resistance Cables.

Heat resistant cables should be chosen based on maximum operating temperature, voltage requirement, conductor size based on current load and environmental exposure (chemicals).

A heat-resistant cable can endure continuous high-temperature service (between 200°C - 800°C) whereas Fire Resistant Cables keep circuit integrity during a fire at "normal" temperatures.

Tempsens cables are designed for continuous use and have a service life of more than 20+ years when installed correctly and within the rated parameters provided by IS 8130.

There are several types of insulation used, and each type will determine how flexible (or stiff) the cable is. For example, Silicone and FEP insulations are very flexible, whereas fiberglass and ceramic fiber insulation provide average flexibility based on the application's needs.
